August Update

As August comes to a close I am reflecting on my goals. Wow this month flew by!

I made three goals and feel accomplished knowing this month was guided and lived out with intention. With that being said there are still things out of our control. An injury kept me from staying on track with my running but I am almost back to where I need to be for my marathon training.

My eating this month was much better. Not perfect but better. Imperfect progress is still progress! I have been making homemade granola for breakfast with almond milk and have been snacking on homemade hummus and veggies. I feel that implementing these smaller changes overtime with help give me a lifestyle change.

My final goal was to be more intentional in seeking God and spending more time with Him. Little did I know He would bring me to Him, on my knees. God gave me more than I could handle on my own this month. School was very challenging and brought me to 2 Corinthians 12. God proved so strong in my great weakness. Maybe a blogpost will come about that journey in the near future!

Here’s to the last day of August! May it be filled with exercise, good food and a whole lot of Jesus.

August in the Making

I know it is the end of the first day but I have finally taken time and written my August goals. I am really excited about the opportunity for growth this month! A new, fresh start always helps me to be motivated even when things around aren’t so motivating. Here are August’s goals:

Life Journal

Intentionally grow in my relationship with God, seeking Him daily & pursuing ways to serve Him.

As I eat, ask if it will be good for God’s temple, my body, not eating out of impulse but eating and choosing deliberately.

My HUSBAND (still in awe I am married!!), my sister and I are running a marathon in February 2016 and August starts our training! My goal is to follow closely our training regimen.
